Spartanburg Regional clinical faculty member featured in CNN’s Champions for Change TV special

Dr. Dondre Simpson, a clinical faculty member for Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System’s dentistry residency program, was featured in the television special Champions for Change on CNN.

Spartanburg Regional’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Residency is accredited with the Commission on Dental Accreditation and operates from two main training sites, Spartanburg Community Dental Center in Spartanburg and the Foundry Dental Center in Alabama.

Dr. Simpson, of Simpsonville, is a general dentist with more than 25 years of experience and is among the clinical faculty at the Spartanburg Community Dental Center.

CNN’s Champions for Change programming spotlights the extraordinary stories of pioneers who are changing the world and driving people toward a better future. CNN’s Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta hosted the one-hour special on Saturday, May 18.

CNN’s Laura Coates told Dr. Simpson’s story as a healer, friend and role model to those who are impoverished and in need of dental care.
